Dr. Stephen Hawking asked this past Tuesday on Yahoo! Answers: How can the human race survive the next hundred years?. Today, U2's Bono asks What can we do to make poverty history? While this may just seem as "fun," the fact is that Yahoo! Answers grows in popularity and its influence in the coveted social network and search market grows as well. Already Yahoo! Answers, which only launched in December, surpasses Google Answer. Two other successful acquisitions by Yahoo Inc of Flickr and del.icio.us put Yahoo! in a strong position in the social market. (This also brings to question Google's breadth and success beyond its core business of search engine).
